BULLSEYE CX & the CMAA’s Employee Engagement Survey for Clubs in Australia is an industry-wide study, a first of its kind, to help identify industry trends and benchmark performance moving forward.

The single-most important determinant of customer satisfaction as well as retention is the quality of customer experience an organization offers its customers. The Australian Club Industry is facing increasing competition from other industries such as casinos, pubs and retail, at a time when the market is approaching stagnation. Designed by Professor Sudhir Kale, one of the most respected names in the gaming industry, this short and accurate survey will provide you with actionable insights to improve the level of engagement of your employees. What’s more, you will be able to track your engagement scores against other Clubs, and with your own past scores through time. You will uncover which factors are critical in maintaining a highly engaged workforce, and what really matters to your employees. Having uncovered the underlying factors critical to engagement, you will be able to prioritize specific strategies and plans targeted at enhancing employee engagement and be able to track the effectiveness of these strategies through subsequent surveys.
BCX will design the survey for you to administer to your employees on the Web or on a tablet. Q. How many staff are required to complete the survey?
A. For Clubs with less than 100 employees, 50% is desirable. For Clubs with 100-200 employees, 75 responses will suffice, for Clubs with more than 200 employees, more than 100 completed surveys are desirable.
Q. Is the survey open to all Club staff?
A. Yes, the greater the diversity in position, the more the representativeness of responses. The survey is open to managers, and to all fulltime, part time and casual employees.
Q. How will the survey be administered?
A. This is an online survey. A link to the survey will be setup by BCX to be circulated by the Club to its employees. The survey can be completed using a smartphone, desktop, laptop or tablet. The survey is accessible until the survey window closes on 30th April 2018. Clubs are encouraged to advise staff to complete the survey within 14 days. Two weeks prior to the survey window’s closing, BCX will send an update to Clubs advising of the count of staff that have completed the survey.
Q. Is the information collected confidential?
A. Yes, employee names or other unique identifiers are not collected. Personal information, such as gender and department are requested but is optional.
Q. How Long does the survey take to complete?
A. The survey takes between 7 – 12 minutes.
Q. When will the (Employee Engagement Survey) EES be conducted?
A. The ESS will open upon signup and close on 30th April 2018. Participating Clubs should act promptly.
Q. Once the survey is completed by a Club, when will the survey results be available?
A. It is expected that individual Club results will be made available three weeks after the survey window closes.
Q. What information will be supplied to participating Clubs following the survey?
A. The mean and standard deviation of each response, the aggregate employee engagement score, and comparative statistics for each employee engagement question will be provided.
Q. How can a Club use the output of the survey for business improvement?
A. The survey results will assist Club in taking steps to enhance the level of employee engagement. The higher the employee engagement, the greater the customer satisfaction, and the more loyal the customer base. High employee engagement results in higher employee performance, lower employee absenteeism, and higher revenues and profitability.
Q. Can Clubs workshop the outcomes of their own survey results with Professor Kale?
A. Yes, Professor Kale can contextualize a 2-hour workshop to dissect the results and help suggest and prioritise employee engagement improvements. The cost of this workshop is $1,800 plus travel from Gold Coast, QLD.
Q. What are the benefits to the Club industry?
A. A happier and more engaged workforce, better interactions of employees with fellow employees, customers, and the broader community, greater employee productivity, and higher revenues. The survey results will indicate an industry-wide benchmark for employee engagement. It will help raise employee satisfaction and subsequently guest satisfaction, leading to healthier industry growth.
Q. When will the Club pay for the survey?
A. For purposes of comparative analysis, at least 30 Clubs must register. Upon 30 Clubs registering, an invoice will be issued by BCX.
Q. Is the introductory offer a one-time or recurring fee?
A. The introductory offer is only valid for the EES conducted in 2018. To participate in future annual surveys, a new registration and payment will be required.
Q. If a Club has multiple venues, will the survey be conducted across the entire Group?
A. Yes. The survey will treat the Group as a single entity. Clubs can choose to undertake separate surveys for specific venues within the Group. In such cases, Clubs will be invoiced for each survey provided.
